On May 12th and 13th, a delegation from Nanyang Technological University’s Turing AI Scholars Program (NTU-TAISP), led by Director Bo An and Deputy Director Nicholas Vun, visited Tsinghua University’s Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS).
IIIS’s Yao Class Director Longbo Huang, Assistant Professors Huanchen Zhang and Huazhe Xu, and student representatives warmly welcomed the NTU delegation. Professor Longbo Huang recalled the successful visit of the Yao Class to Singapore and proposed deepening collaboration. In response, TAISP Director Bo An expressed his gratitude to IIIS and suggested expanding partnerships in research and education.
During the two-day visit, the TAISP students and faculty actively engaged in IIIS’ academic and daily life. They attended courses and visited laboratories to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the Yao Class. Additionally, they toured the Tsinghua University Art Museum to appreciate the exquisite embroidery art from the Ming and Qing dynasties, gaining insights into the unique wisdom of Chinese civilization.
As the visit concluded, Associate Professor Nicholas Vun Chan Hua described the experience as rich and fulfilling, highlighting the warm hospitality of IIIS. He expressed hope for more opportunities to collaborate in the future.
